Web site of Jalé Pullen, children's author and speaker.

Born in England, Jalé Pullen began her career as a teenage actress in the London production of HOTEL PARADISO with Sir Alec Guinness. She switched to writing when she sold her first article about a trip on the Orient Express. Her children’s articles and stories include publications in CALLIOPE, FACES, and STORY FRIENDS. HIGHLIGHTS bought her most recent piece.

Jalé was a First Place Winner at the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators’ So. Cal. Writer’s Day and won an Honorable Mention for a Work-In-Progress at the California Writer’s Conference. She also received a HIGHLIGHTS Foundation scholarship.

Jalé is a full member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators’ (SCBWI).

Now working on her first novel set in the U.S., Jalé finds her acting training helpful in writing characters.

Her childhood during the London Blitz helps her bring history alive for students during her school talks.
